Oregon Team secure points and victory at Red Bull Ring in the GT Open

Oregon Team completed a very fruitful weekend at the Red Bull Ring. At the 4.3km Austrian track, the Italian squad secured their third win of the GT Open season as Alessio Deledda and race one polsitter Jordan Pepper claimed their second victory.

Oregon Team pair scored important points by delivering a lights-to-flag race one win in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, and made a great recovery in race two allowing them to break into the top-10 overall and claim the ninth position.

As a result, Deledda now sits second in the drivers’ stadings three points behid the Audi duo of Christopher Haase/Simon Reicher, while Pepper is third, having missed the Hungaroring round due to a clash.

At Red Bull Ring the other Oregon Team’s crew formed by Leonardo Pulcini and Rolf Ineichen (the Swiss driver made his return to the series after missing the Hungaroring and Le Castellet rounds due the posthumous of the crash at Spa) finished third. In race two the duo secured the fourth position. Pulcini started sixth and, after the pit-stop, Ineichen rejoined the field in fourth position but dropped fourth al the last lap.

Artem Petrov and Marzio Moretti, sharing a third Oregon Team’s Lamborghini, achieved their best result of the season claiming the sixt position in race two after finishing eight in the Saturday’s race one.

The next GT Open round will be held in just two weeks in Barcelona (28-29 September), ahead of the grand-finale at the Monza hometrack in October.
