Oregon Team has positive qualifying session with P8 on the grid for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet

“I’m absolutely satisfied. In qualifying we managed to put up the right pace and quickly catch up with the frontrunners despite missing the early-week testing that others ran” – said Jerry Canevisio in a positive reboot for his team after the summer break.

Lining-up at the French Circuit Paul Ricard for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet, the Oregon Team Norma M30 LMP3 scored the 8th fastest lap of qualifying in the hands of Dario Capitanio. The Roman, who is again partnered by fellow Italian Davide Roda and Colombian Andrés Méndez, delivered a great performance in the official session.

In Bronze testing held yesterday, Roda had kept his name at the front end of the charts and, for tomorrow’s race, everybody will be pushing for more improvement.

In the fourth out of sixth European Le Mans Series rounds of the season, which is considered the most challenging due to the number and the high competitive level of the French teams playing on home turf. Anyway, the team led by Canevisio and Giorgio Testa will go for an even better result than the seventh place secured in the Austrian round at Red Bull Ring one month ago.

Today’s qualifying session proved more valuable compared to what was expected and every aspect worked to perfection. The team is now focused on tomorrow’s race starting at 12:00 local time, with live streaming coverage on www.europeanlemansseries.com.
