Oregon Team hits the track at Misano as Bontempelli, Fioravanti complete the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe line-up

After a first shakedown at the Cremona circuit, Oregon Team completed this week a two-day test. The squad led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa, who is set to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe debut, hit the track at Misano on Wednesday and Thursday.

Following the Kevin Gilardoni and Dorian Boccolacci announcement, the Italian team also unveiled its full line-up for the 2020 season as it confirmed Lorenzo Bontempelli and Damiano Fioravanti. The first one has one year-experience in the Sant’Agata Bolognese one-make series, having raced in 2018. The Brianza-based driver took part last year in the European Le Mans Series for Oregon Team in the LMP3 category.

The 23-year-old Rome-native Fioravanti, after having started his career in the the singe-seater, made the debut in the GT world two years ago, moving up to the ELMS in 2019  for Oregon Team, where he sared a Norma car with Bontempelli and the Lithuanian Gustas Grinbergas.

All four drivers have a great experience and will be aiming to the top spot for a well awaited thrilling 2020 season.

We made a great job at Misano, testing both with dry and wet condition”, Jerry Canevisio commented. “We set promising times getting in confidence with the new car”.

On the first day Oregon Team fielded also a RS 1.6 turbo car for Italian-Swiss 20-year-old rookie Alessandro Tarabini, who is set to make his Clio Cup Italia debut.

Meanwhile the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe revised calendar has been announced. Misano will kick-off the series on 9th August. The other rounds are Nürburgring (5 September), Barcelona (11 October), Spa-Francorchamps (24 October) and Paul Ricard (15 November).
