Oregon Team confirms a two-car assault on the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe at the Paul Ricard finale

Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe heads this weekend to the Circuit of Paul Ricard for the fifth and last round of the season. Oregon Team aims at the Pro title with the front runner Kevin Gilardoni who will be pairing again by Dorian Boccolacci, after the Frenchman missed the most recent event at Spa-Francorchamps. 

The Italian squad confims a two-car assault. Lorenzo Bontempelli, who claimed four podium finishes over six races and a Pro-Am victory at Barcelona with Brazilian driver Victor Franzoni, is set to return alongside the Italian newcomer Massimo Ciglia. The last one makes his second apperance in the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo car after having completed a shakedown a few days ago.

Facing its first season in the one make championship, the team of Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa, rapidly challenged for the top spot. Following a second position at the Nürburgring, the French-Italian/Swiss duo Boccolacci and Gilardoni swept all in the third round at the circuit of Montmeló as Bontempelli scored his first win.

Gilardoni now arrives at the Circuit of Paul Ricard 7.5 points clear of Briton Dean Stoneman, with a total of 32 still to be assigned in a thrilling finale.

The first out of two races will start on Saturday at 16:15, while Race 2 is scheduled on Sunday morning at 9:10, both with live stream on Lamborghini Squadra Corse Facebook and YouTube channel. Free practice and the two qualifyng sessions kick-off the weekend on Friday.
