Massimo Ciglia is the first confirmed driver by Oregon Team for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season. The 40-year-old Italian racing driver is set for a full campaign in the one-make series featuring 620 bhp V10 Huracán Super Trofeo Evo cars.
2021 represents Ciglia’s first full-season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, after making an appearance with Oregon Team last year at Le Castellet.
“For the upcoming season, my goal is to keep learning“, commented Ciglia, who boasts different experiences in the Sportscar since 2017.
This year Oregon Team is preparing a two-car assault. In 2020 the squad headed by Jerry Canevisio and Piergiorgio Testa completed its first season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe claiming three overall victories and finishing second in the Pro category with Kevin Gilardoni.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe this year includes six rounds. The seasons will kick-off at Monza on 16/18 April, before moving to Circuit Paul Ricard in France on the final weekend of May. Zandvoort in the Netherlands will host the third event on 18/20 June.
Spa-Francorchamps, in the Belgian Ardennes, is scheduled for the 29 July/1 August weekend. Nürburgring will hold the penultimate round of the season on the first weekend of September, before the last event at Misano in the same week of the World Finals on 28/29 October.
