Just over a month before the start of the season, Oregon Team announces the names of the drivers with whom it will compete this year in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. In its fifth season in the one-make series and after winning the Pro and Team titles in 2021 and the Pro-Am the following year, the Italian squad returns to the championship in full force.
Among many novelties and some confirmations, Oregon Team will field three cars. On one of these for newcomer Leonardo Caglioni, who makes his debut in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. The twenty-year-old driver from Bergamo will be joined by the other rookie Enzo Geraci, who is just 17 years old.
Another pairing will be formed by the Frenchman Paul Levet and the Hungarian László Tóth (who also has two seasons in the FIA Formula 3 under his belt). Both are also very young and make their debut in the championship reserved for the Sant’Agata Bolognese cars.
Completing the line-up are Davide Roda and Peter Perolini. The two Italians are both returning to the series. Roda’s last appearance in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe was five years ago. Perolini raced in the series in 2022 and last season entered the GT Open championship with a Oregon Team’s Huracán GT3 EVO2.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe will kick off on the weekend of April 21 with the first round in Imola, followed by Spa (May 11) and Le Mans, on the same weekend of the 24 Hours (June 15). The first three rounds of the calendar will be held in conjunction with the FIA WEC World Championship. Two rounds will follow the GT World Challenge Europe, Nürburgring (July 28) and Barcelona (October 13). The finale will take place on the Spanish circuit of Jerez on November 15, during the 2024 Lamborghini World Finals.
For the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa, the commitment with the Lamborghini brand will also extend this year to the GT Open, with line-ups to be announced later.
