Oregon Team is set to change its pace. After the two difficult rounds at Portimão and Spa, the Italy-based squad faces the third of seven International GT Open rounds scheduled this coming weekend (17-18 June) at the Hungaroring track.
In Budapest, Oregon Team confirms its presence with two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 cars for Pierre-Louis Chovet-Maximilian Paul and the other duo Daan Arrow Pijl–Pietro Perolini. The first pair so far has always managed to score points, although it couldn’t do better than eight position and the fifth of the Pro in Belgium, as Arrow Pijl and Perolini claimed two tenth positions and a sixth in the Pro class as well.
“The Hungaroring track fits better for our Lambos. Even more so if it’s not too hot“, Jerry Canevisio said. “After two difficult rounds, we know we must perform well in Budapest.”
The Hungarian round should be considered a real turning point of the season and will precede the Paul Ricard round in mid-July, and the last events in Red Bull Ring, Monza and Barcellona following the summer break.
The two free practice sessions will kick-off the weekend on Friday. Qualifying one will start on Saturday at 9:45 to determine the starting grid of Race 1 (70′), scheduled at 14:25. The second qualifying will begin at 9:45 on Sunday, ahead of Race 2 (60′) at 14:00. Both races will be live streamed on GT Open’s YouTube.
