Two weeks after ending the round at the Circuit of Montmeló with a double victory, Oregon Team is set for the Spa-Francorchamps campaing. In Spain the Italian squad claimed its first success in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with the Dorian Boccolacci and Kevin Gilardoni duo, who moved up to second in the Pro drivers’ standings following their first podium finish of the season at the Nürburgring, last September.
The Franch/Italian-Swiss pair is now only one point behind Dean Stoneman, aiming to take more silverware looking at the championship lead.
The Belgian round is the fourth out of five of this year, and takes place this week alongside the 24 Hours of Spa.
At Spa, the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa aims at the top also in the Pro-Am class. After Lorenzo Bontempelli and newcomer Victor Franzoni claimed their first victory in Spain, the Italian racing driver will miss the Belgian race. Brazilian Alan Hellmeister, who makes his debut in the one-make series, replaces him to share the driving duties with country fellow Franzoni.
The two free practice sessions kick-off the action tomorrow. Qualifying one and two – each one of 20 minutes – will start on Friday at 9:40. The first of the 50-minute races will commence at 13:10. Race 2 will start on Saturday at 12.50. Both races will be live streamed on Lamborghini Squadra Corse socials.
