Oregon Team secures seventh place in Red Bull Ring qualifying

Spielberg, July 21st 2018. Oregon Team enjoyed a very positive start for their trip to Austria as the Italian squad is lining up for the third round of the European Le Mans Series at Red Bull Ring.

On the ups and downs of the Styrian venue, the Cremosano-based squad definitely started with the right foot, placing their Norma M30 LMP3 racecar seventh in class. The car is shared by Riccardo Ponzio, Clément Mateu, and Andrés Méndez.

Yesterday’s result confirmed the positive moment of form for the team owned by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa. On a track that certainly fits French car well, expectations are still high.

“We are absolutely satisfied – said Canevisio – In the first part of the season, we have been performing better than expected. Regarding the race, I can say that we have wasted the tires a bit, but I don’t think this will be a problem, because rain is on the forecast”.

All three drivers found themselves perfectly confident once again, and they are ready to put the work done throughout the weekend to fruition. The 4-hour race will start today at 12 noon.
